About the Priority
Support and Upgrade Subscription:
IDAutomation.com, Inc. offers priority support and unlimited product
upgrades if this option is purchased with the order. The Priority
Support and Upgrade Subscription costs 18% of the total product
cost for one year of support. IDAutomation's Priority Support and
Upgrade Subscription includes:
- Priority phone support -
Call
IDAutomation anytime the office is open to speak to a technical
support representative or developer.
- Unlimited product upgrades - Most of the software
products are updated every 3 to 12 months to conform to the
latest operating systems and symbology specifications.
- Priority Help Desk support - With this option,
Help Desk tickets that are submitted on the weekends, holidays or when the
office is closed will receive after-hours priority attention
over others in the queue.
- Unlimited download availability - Instant access
to updated software downloads throughout the entire year available
through the
online
store.
For customers that do not have an active Priority Support and Upgrade
Subscription, support is limited to the
IDAutomation knowledge
base. Standard Help Desk support, link activation and updates
are not provided. Help Desk tickets with an active Priority Support
and Upgrade Subscription are generally answered within 48 hours.
As a company designed to stay in business, these charges are necessary
to cover the costs of future development, support and testing.
Beware of organizations that claim to offer "free, unlimited
support and upgrades". Many of these organizations come and
go, especially on the Internet. Most successful software organizations
that have been in business for more than 5 years charge for support
and upgrades.
The Upgrade Subscription will ensure up-to-date products
are made available and that they are fully compatible with the latest
standards, specifications and operating systems. Not only do IDAutomation
components have to be compatible with current operating systems,
they must comply with current symbology specifications. The software
products are created to operate on current operating systems and
applications. However, a guarantee cannot be made that the product
purchased today will operate properly in future operating systems
and applications nor that they will comply with future symbology
specifications.When a product receives a major update, it will
automatically be uploaded to the eCommerce Server and will be available
for download for all customers with active Priority Support and
Upgrade Subscription. Updates will be announced in the
monthly newsletter
which is emailed to the email address that was used on the order
form when the order was originally placed. If the email address
has changed since the product was ordered, please email us your
first name, last name, product number, date of purchase and order
number so we can update our license database and sign up for the
monthly newsletter
regarding product updates.
When the Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription option is purchased,
registration is automatic. There are no forms to fill out, sign
or mail in.
