and Upgrade Subscription:
IDAutomation updates products often with improvements
to security, operating system compatibility, and barcode symbology
updates. IDAutomation recommends updating to the latest version
of all software products by ordering the Priority Support and Upgrade
Subscription, which includes the following:
- Latest Version Downloads are available
directly from the store. Most IDAutomation software products
are updated every 3 to 12 months to conform to the latest operating
systems, symbology specifications and security vulnerability
updates.

- Priority Phone Support is available
anytime the office is open to speak to a technical support representative
or a developer.
Phone support is only available with an active Priority
Support and Upgrade Subscription.
- After Hours Support is provided
by
Help
Desk tickets and
emails submitted on weekends, holidays or when the office
is closed. After hours support is only available with an active
Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription.
- Priority Help Desk, Online Chat and Email Support
is provided so that tickets and emails in the support queue
receive priority over others.
- Unlimited Downloads are available
anytime the subscription is active directly from the store.
Simply login to the online store and go to the “My Account”
section.
- Automatic Registration is included.
There are no forms to fill out, sign or mail in. Charges for
the subscription will recur annually until
cancelled.

As a company designed to stay in business, these charges are necessary
to cover the costs of future development, support and testing. Most
successful software organizations that have been in business for
more than 5 years charge for support and upgrades. Support is provided
for IDAutomation products only. IDAutomation does not provide consulting
services or troubleshoot custom source code. For more information
on support limitations, refer to the
statement
of support.For customers that do not have an active Priority
Support and Upgrade Subscription, support is limited to the
IDAutomation knowledge
base. Standard Help Desk support, link activation and product
updates are not provided. Help Desk tickets with an active Priority
Support and Upgrade Subscription are generally answered within 24
hours on weekends and holidays and within 15 minutes during business
hours.
The Priority Support & Upgrade Subscription will ensure up-to-date
products are made available and that they are fully compatible with
the latest standards, specifications and operating systems. Not
only do IDAutomation components have to be compatible with current
operating systems, they must also comply with current symbology
specifications. The software products are created to operate on
current operating systems and applications. However, a guarantee
cannot be made that the product purchased today will operate properly
in future operating systems and applications nor that they will
comply with future symbology specifications.
When
a product receives a major update, it will automatically be uploaded
to the eCommerce Server and will be available for download to all
customers with an active Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription.
Major updates are announced in the
monthly newsletter,
which is emailed to the email address that was used on the order
form when the order was originally placed. If the email address
has changed since the product was initially ordered, please email
us your first name, last name, product number, date of purchase
and order number so we can update our license database and sign
up for the monthly
newsletter regarding product updates.
When the Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription option is
purchased, registration is automatic. There are no forms to fill
out, sign or mail in.
Charges for this subscription will recur annually until cancelled.
