The Codabar barcode type has been used for various high-density numeric bar-coding applications including libraries, blood banks, and parcels. Codabar is self-checking, eliminating the requirement for checksum characters, which allows it to be easily incorporated into existing applications.
The Codabar character set consists of barcode symbols representing characters 0-9, Letters A to D, and the following symbols: - $ / +. Additional data may be encoded in the actual choice of start and stop codes. The uppercase letters A, B, C, and D are used for start and stop codes. The parentheses ( ) may also be used as the start and stop code to eliminate the letters from appearing in the human-readable version of the fonts.
The Codabar Font Advantage Package includes 12 font versions in six formats, plus font tools, macros, and source code to help integrate the fonts into virtually any application.
Easy To Use:
These fonts may be used to create Codabar barcodes from the keyboard or used in a calculated field to dynamically produce multiple symbols. All barcodes require a start and stop character, and these can be entered from the keyboard as well.
For example, to create a barcode that encodes the data "1234" with the Codabar Font:
- Select the font from the list of fonts in the application.
- Type the start character; in this example, it is "A".
- Type the data; in this example, it is "1234".
- Type the stop character; in this example, it is "B".
- Change the font back to the default font of the document.
Multiple Versions Provided:
"We purchased this product because of the big range of products you offer and the fact that we already use other fonts from you. This product has helped our company with speed for personalization in combination of our Indigo press." - Wim Feys, Femalabel, Belgium
Codabar barcode fonts are scalable and should be printed at the correct font size to suit the application and scanning equipment. Twelve (12) versions of Codabar barcode fonts are provided to support human-readable versions and different height-width requirements.
Industry Standards:
IDAutomation Codabar barcode fonts have been developed according to Rationalized Codabar standards. Rationalized Codabar is 100% compatible with traditional Codabar and just as secure with the added benefit of higher density.
Encoding Tools Provided:
IDAutomation provides a variety of font encoder tools to help automate the process, automatically formatting the start, stop, and check characters to the barcode font.
Microsoft Word Compatibility:
A Word mail-merge barcode example is provided in the package.

Codabar Font Package
Werkt prima. Works fine. I use it to make barcodes for a medical laboratory. Simply choose the right font with the numbering and add an A before and at the end of the code. The codes themselves are generated via FusionPro. Nothing difficult about it and it works without JavaScript.
