Royal
Mail 4 State Customer Code Barcode Font Info:
|
The Royal Mail 4-State Customer
Code (RM4SCC) was created for automated mail sorting processes and is normally
used to print the postcode and Delivery Point Suffix (DPS) on letters in
machine readable format in England and the United Kingdom. The RM4SCC fonts
also implement KIX codes as used by the Dutch PTT for bulk mail addressing.
4-State barcodes are also used in several other places including Singapore,
Australia and the Netherlands. The symbology of RM4SCC is based on 36 symbols
representing alphanumeric characters (0-9, A-Z), as well as start and stop
bar characters which are represented by "(" and ")".
Features and Benefits of the Package
Include:
- Several Font Tools are provided to assist with application integration.

Australian
Post Address Barcode Font Info:
|
The Australian Post Address barcode is another implementation of the
4-State barcode. The Australian Post Address barcode operation uses different
encoding tables than the RM4SCC barcode to encode 64 different barcodes
in the "C Encoding Table" and 10 in the "N Encoding Table".
The Australia Post Address barcode may be printed with this package by
sending the appropriate bar state value for each bar of the character to
the printer with the "IDAutomation4State" font selected. For example,
to produce the character "H" under the "C Encoding Table", send the text
of "012" to the printer. To produce the number "7" under the "N Encoding
Table", send the number "21" to the printer.
For more information about the Australia Post Address barcode, please
visit the Future Post
website. At this website they provide a
guide to print the
4-State barcode and
Visual Basic programming
code for calculating the required Reed Solomon error correction.
